Surrounding oceans Gibraltar

Hi Mary,
First off, Gibraltar is not an island it is a peninsula, it is not completely surrounded by water, it is actually connected to Spain and has a frontier leading into La Linea in the Cadiz province.
Gibraltar has the Mediterranean Sea on the east side (the side that has Eastern, Catalan and Sandy bay beaches) and then on the west side we have the Straits of Gibraltar which is where the Atlantic ocean meets the Med Sea.
