Other obvious reasons for people wanting to marry here is the nice weather and the fact that it will not be too expensive to do.
You do not need to be a resident in order to marry, and it can in theory all be done within 24 hours of arriving. With that said the use of a wedding planner will broaden your options and generally smooth out the whole process.
