Adults just like babies need to protect their skin from the sun.
Certain basic precautions should be taken so as to avoid being burned by excessive exposure.
The locals have a routine when going to the beach and most will avoid exposure between noon and 4pm. However, when on holiday we tend to indulge as much as we can of the good weather. When the sun is at its peak, you can still enjoy the beach or pool but try and stay in the shade under a beach umbrella.
* Do not be fooled by a cloudy day or a cool breeze as the sun is just as hot although you may not realise it given the breeze.
* Always wear sunscreen factor 15 plus and apply as often as required.
* If you have fair skin, whilst at the beach, take advantage of wearing a tee shirt initially to avoid getting sunburned.
* Wear a hat or cap.
* Regularly check your skin for new moles or changes to existing moles.
Sunbathing like every else in life needs to be done in moderation. Enjoy the sunshine and by following the simple precautions listed above you will get the full benefits of the sunshine and look gorgeous.
ENJOY!
